Course on Culture of Microbes Living in Endemic

COURSE DESCRIPTION

With the evolution of multidrug-resistant pathogenic bacteria, there is a need for novel drugs for diseases control. Here, though initially, the screening of products obtained from combinatorial synthesis appeared to be a very promising avenue, it has so far not been successful. Therefore, natural products are being searched again for discovering novel drugs. Among the different types of organisms which are being targeted to be screened for novel drug production, we will culture microbes living in endemic and other plant systems and investigate the enzymes and other products released by them.

They are exposed to the modern techniques of the culture of microbes, choice of culture media, culturing techniques, analysis of enzymes and other products. This equips them with necessarily advanced methodologies, which can help them launch much-demanded research careers / become experts in these domains.
